In news sure to come as no shock (pun intended) Sony has announced that it is stepping back on requirements for Steam players to log in to a PS network account. While this wouldn’t have been a large bother, but still a bother, to most account holders, this is a huge victory in managed democracy for the rest of the citizens of Super Earth. In many countries, a playstation network account is an impossibility, and many of the loyal citizens of Super Earth would no longer be able to spread the beauty of democracy. Never really expected Sony to keep these requirements, but it is good that they at least somewhat mitigated the damage that they had caused. This is great news for the devs and the player base, and hopefully the game can get back to where it was, as one of 2024’s darlings.
