Anytime I hear that Insane Clown Posse is coming close to my area there’s an instant “I’ll be there” moment. When they announced the Atlanta date of their “On tour 2026” as may 29th, I knew I’d be there.

Small venue chaos, Big venue crowds

There is an ongoing joke within the juggalo community that this is the “Tour that never ends”. This tour shares almost everything from the past year or so’s tour and that isn’t a bad thing. The “On Tour” tour seems to start and stop all the time and has gone from 2025 through 2026. This time they have brought it to a relatively new venue (At least to me) in “The Eastern”.

For a long time juggalo such as myself, outside of gatherings and other cities, I have mostly experienced ICP shows in Atlanta at the clowns unofficial home, “The Masquerade”. This time they went big. Starting with the venue, an absolute beast in terms of size and options. 2000+ person capacity, with tons of amenities as well as super clean restrooms. I walked into this event with the mindset of “I MEAN THIS IS ALRIGHT BUT ITS NO MASQUERADE”… Although said in jest, part of me just wanted to see the clowns in my old “Home”.

When I tell you my attitude changed with the quickness, I mean QUICK. Merely a few minutes of dealing with staff, and hearing the whoop whoop’s echo, I realized this venue was amazing for juggalos. Tall ceilings, perfect for sending faygos to the people in the back who wanna hide from getting wet. Great lighting, enhancing an already kinetic stage show. I knew this concert was always going to be a go for me, regardless who the opening acts were. They would just be icing on the cake that is an Insane Clown Posse concert.

Welcome To The Dark Carnival

I was ready to get my gear set up and prepare to take photos of the night. I started by taking photos of the juggalos walking around and on the barricade. It always nice to see the young kids that are now the same age as I was when I got into ICP. They are on the barricade and just as hyped up as I was seeing them for the first time. At the end of the day I have always been, and always will be, a juggalo.

The first act of the night was a rapper by the name of Mr. Sadistic. When he took the stage he came out to some heavy metal intro that had some slayer in it, so the pace was set for juggalos to know, this was going to be heavy.

Half Past Midnight

The next act of the night came as a bit of a shock to me. I hadn’t seen it promoted anywhere but… the second act of the night was Midnightinyami. No stranger to the juggalo world, this artist has created quite a lot of noise. Some for good, some for bad. He has risen quickly in the community, from unknown to well known, recently.

Controversy aside, I decided to watch and see how this was going to go. After snapping some quick photos, I made my way to the balcony to watch the crowds reaction. He came out with 4-6 people with him. I watched as they came out with a lot of energy. The thing that stood out the most was one of the people on stage with him was in a hotdog outfit. He was dancing and doing the worm in the outfit. The crowd at this point had very isolated spots of people who seemed to be enjoying the set.

The rest of the crowd seemed very mild. The mosh pits from the former set had stopped, the hands were down, and the vibe had shifted. The pockets of people who were still feeling it were extremely hype, but overall the crowd lost it’s energy. It felt like it went from this huge 2000+ venue, to a local show with 20 people. It was strange to watch. I made my way down to get a better view, and to see if what I was viewing was really happening.

The Showstopper

Once I got to the floor, I heard one of the hype-men say “Are y’all gonna catch me?” I heard some people near the entrance to the photo pit audibly say “Nope.” I knew what was about to happen. I watched it almost as if in slow motion… He jumped, the crowd didn’t raise their hands, and just like that you hear a loud thump. He hit the floor. As a juggalo I was like “OHHHHH YOU FUCKED UP” but as a journalist I was thinking “Why would you do that when the crowd wasn’t 100% obviously vibing with it?”

Shorted

The set was supposed to be 30 minutes according to the set times I was given. The set finished around 10 mins in and they decided to tell the crowd how much they appreciate them and asked if they could take a photo together with them.

The crowd put their hands up and showed more love than I had seen from the entire set. The set felt extremely short and rushed. Not sure if it was because of the botched stage dive or what because when the hotdog suit member stage dove the crowd caught them and crowd surfed them around.

Honestly as someone that turned off his expectations and just wanted to see what he was about… I was left wondering why exactly there is buzz around the guy. It wasn’t like his music was bad… just something about the dude wasn’t clicking that night. I’m sure some will dispute this and say he had an amazing show, and the beauty of it is neither I nor them are incorrect. Art is subjective. Remember that. When it comes to Midnightinyami from this juggalo’s eyes… it’s a swing and a miss. Maybe his gathering of the juggalos main stage slot will be a redemption but for now im closing the book on his set.

This One’s For The Airheadz

Once Yami was off stage, the crowd started to banter back and forth with myself and others around the front of the stage. Everyone got some energy ready to let out for ICP; but before that happens we still had one more act to go: Wakko The Kidd.

Wakko the Kidd, hailing all the way from California. The Airheadz weed extraordinaire himself was ready to grace the stage with his own style of juggalo jams that only he can bring to the table.

I believe I have seen Wakko enough at this point to know what to expect from him. This night his set was almost an hour long. He played the songs from most of his other sets I’ve seen, but the thing about Wakko is he is actually a juggalo from way back. When he does his set he knows what juggalos are looking for. If they don’t know him they will by the end of the set.

He tells the story about how when he was a kid he used to order from hatchet gear (ICP’s original merch website which has now been rebranded) but now all these years later he has his OWN hatchet gear with his name on it. It’s genuinely awesome to see a juggalo, a real juggalo, that has been there for years working his ass off make it like he has. I may not smoke weed but Wakko has the game on lock with his Airheadz brand. Wakko is part of the next generation of juggalos pushing into the future showing everyone what you can do if you grind hard enough. Much love to the Airheadz crew and to Wakko.

And Now, Ladies and Gentleman!

After the dust has settled from the Wakko set, the crowd had some time to breathe. The moments before ICP takes the stage are always some of the most electric moments you will ever feel as a juggalo. As someone who has been doing these crazy shows for over 18 years now I can say without a shadow of a doubt, the second the bass booms is when the crowd hits that fever pitch even if the set starts 30+ mins late.

The curtains open and there they are… the huge letters I C P lit up with lights as their long time DJ, DJ Clay, pumps up the juggalos for the clowns arrival. When they walk out, the crowd explodes.

Icons Of The Carnival

Just like that we’re off to the races. Shaggy’s iconic yell to begin the show with “The Show Must Go On” reverberates through the venue “AHHHHHHH SHIT YO CHECK IT OUT MAN I.C.P. BACK IN THE HOUSE MAN VIOLENT J MAN, 2 DOPE MAN, WICKED CLOWN MAN, HA HA MAN!!!!!”. This has been the set opener for quite a few of the recent tours and shows but it still hits like a truck. I was telling one of the other photographers when to expect the faygo to start flying and fly it did. The guys have pretty much perfected the craft of songs that the faygo pairs with well and this one is always a hype one.

As the set started to come to an end I packed up my camera in my bag and got ready for what was to come. The end of an ICP show is like a religious experience. Faygo Armageddon. This was a term coined in the late 2000’s. At the end of the set they invite all the VIP’s on stage to spray and throw faygo on the crowd. ICP ends the set with one of their songs that always hits hard for me even more so all these years later.

Armageddon, Rain Down On Me

“Think about it” comes over the speakers the song… Pass Me By. All these years later the 1997 track still speaks to my soul in many ways. After the loss of my father in 2006, my closest juggalo homie in 2023 and many others along the way, as soon as I get on stage I have tears rolling down my cheeks remembering my lost loved ones surrounded by some of my closest friends on stage singing and throwing soda it’s an emotional explosion.

It is the most bittersweet moment of an ICP show. The faygo is flying emotions are running high and I live for this. All the juggalos in the crowd are at the craziest point jumping over the barricade to join in on the fun. This is the most natural point of being a juggalo. Once you’re on that stage spraying faygo all your worries are gone if only for that 4-6 mins.

That is the best feeling In the world. ICP has given the soundtrack to the life of many of us and I hope we return what they’ve given us. I have told people recently the purpose of these “Concert Reviews” for me isn’t to say “Oh this band is dope and I give it a 10/10”. This is more something for me to have record of things I’ve seen over the years. I’ve seen good, I’ve seen bad, and I’ve seen ugly. ICP is unlike any other concert because it’s been with me for so long. These events are geniuenly a gathering of people that feel like family.

The Big Show Ends With A Big Bang

Atlanta came out in force, and the show was a great time. I urge you if you’re reading this and you have always wondered about ICP or their concerts please go. GO. NOW. Buy a ticket, go see them. I wanna thank Psychopathic Records, ICP, Billy, and the crew for always being great. The Eastern was great and took care of juggalos on this super humid day by offering free waters for people in line while they waited to get inside the door. The other photographers in the photo pit were absolutely awesome and happy to have met them! Security was great, staff was kind and this is how you have a great ICP experience.
